This first visual essay is a tongue-in-cheek response to a comment a professor made in my Civil Law 101 class in 1997:
Women get law degrees to hang on the kitchen wall.
Little did he know how useful that law degree would become for documenting development unfolding in the mundane,
at the kitchen table during breakfast.
